This is a free verse poem I composed relating to my experiences in a storm.
Hoping for a storm,
Huge and mighty,
Grand and prodigious,
Where the lights go out,
Where trees fall to the ground,
Where there is a huge flood,
That is how a storm should be defined.
Instead,
I get a storm,
Small and Frail,
Where the lights are on 24/7,
No trees on the hard, and concrete ground,
And, where there is no flood,
Is that what the definition of a storm is?

Wow! I like your poem. It's very creative. I like how you compared what you wanted the storm to be and what it actually was. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI like the picture comparison Suryansh. Also, the poem was very descriptive of the expectation and the actuality.
ReplyDeleteGood use of vocabulary! I liked it! Let's beef up the word choice in all lines!
